Michigan store sells two jackpot-winning lottery tickets on same day

Dec. 15 (UPI) -- The Michigan Lottery said two winning tickets worth a combined total of $2.4 million were sold at the same store on the same day.

Michigan Lottery officials said the Meijer store in Holland sold a Lotto 47 ticket that matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing, 01-12-15-29-41-44, and won $2 million.

A $10 Fast Cash Jackpot Slots ticket sold the same day at the store's gas station ended up instantly winning a $428,621 progressive jackpot.

The lottery said Meijer will receive a total $7,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.

Officials said the store "was the luckiest place to be in Michigan on Saturday."
