CLINTON, N.C. — A Clinton man said he plans to make his wedding anniversary unforgettable after he played the Big Money Super Ticket and won $1 million.

Frank Singleton Jr. stopped by the Friendly Mart on North East Boulevard in Clinton last Friday and bought the $10 scratch-off ticket.

"I didn’t think it was real," Singleton said said grabbing the top prize.

He took the lump-sum payout of $600,000. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $417,009.

"My wife and I have been married for 11 years," he said. "We’re going to the Dominican Republic for our anniversary, and I’m going to make it extra special for her."

One of the four $1 million top prizes is left in the Big Money Super Ticket game, which launched in December.
