Wanted man among those held in Bogue Hill raid

Police officers attached to Area One carried out a special operation in Bogue Hill in St James on Saturday, August 11.

The sweep led to the arrest of two men for possession of identity information.

Arrested and charged are 22-year-old Dennis Brown, otherwise called 'Bobby', and 29-year-old Orane Smith, otherwise called 'Bond', both of Bogue Hill, St James.

Sean Headley, otherwise called 'Tall Man', who was wanted by the St James CISOCA for rape, was also arrested and a warrant issued by the St James Parish Court for absconding bail was executed on him.

During the operation, 27 persons were arrested and 20 abandoned premises were searched. Evidence of lottery scamming, including 2000 sheets containing names, addresses, and telephone numbers of persons residing overseas, were also seized.

Investigations continue.
