They're sitting on a jackpot worth $842,400,000 and have until January 1, 2025, to claim the lottery prize.

The matched numbers were 12, 21, 42, 44, 49, and 1 for the Powerball.

A Food Castle store in Grand Blanc, about an hour northwest of Detroit, sold the winning ticket.

CLAIMING CASH

Appointments are mandatory at Michigan Lottery claim centers, and winners can call 844-917-6325 to schedule one.

Lottery organizers advise winners to sign the backs of their tickets and fill out a lottery claim form.

They also ask ticket holders to have a photo ID handy, along with their Social Security card.

Powerball winners must choose between their prize as a one-time lump-sum payment or annuitized installments paid over 30 years.

Both options offer benefits as some argue a lump sum is better for making investments while others prefer steady, guaranteed income.

The ticket holder has until February 2, 2025, to come forward and claim their $1 million loot.
