KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — There were two lucky winners of seven-figure prizes from Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing.

One of those winning tickets was sold right here in the Piedmont Triad.

In Kernersville, someone won a $4 million lottery prize with a $3 Megaplier ticket using Online Play.

Elsewhere in North Carolina, someone won a $1 million prize with a $2 ticket at the Enmark Station on Tunnel Road in Asheville.

Both tickets matched all five white balls to win the $1 million prize. The Kernersville winner’s prize quadrupled to $4 million thanks to the 4X Megaplier hitting.

The two North Carolina winners were among five nationally who matched all five white balls on Tuesday’s drawing. The other winning states were the usual suspects in California and Florida.

The Kernersville winner walked away with the largest prize win in the nation for Tuesday’s drawing.

The odds of matching all five white balls are only 1 in 12.6 million.

The winners now have until Oct. 19 to claim their prizes.
