Babymetal Share New Single and Video “from me to u” Featuring Poppy
Babymetal shared the first song off their forthcoming album METAL FORTH earlier this morning, featuring one of metal’s many scream queens, Poppy. The track, titled “from me to u”, is Babymetal‘s first track of 2025 and it packs a punch. In true Babymetal style, the band maximizes on large production and major breakdowns for the chorus.
Naturally, Babymetal aren’t ones to go small. This new track is accompanied by a cinematic music video directed by Takuya Oyama (VANLI). As a Japanese kawaii-metal band, Babymetal are known for combining their cutesy imagery with the heavy metal music driving their releases, adding a quirky and avant-garde pop twist.
The track follows the band’s recent announcement of their new album, METAL FORTH, which in itself is a follow up to 2023’s The Other One. This time around, the record will feature collaborations from Spiritbox, Polyphia, Black Veil Brides, Jinjer, and more.
Next month, Babymetal are also kicking off the European leg of their headline tour, which later stretches through to North America. You can find the full list of dates below.
