The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $43 million, with a cash option of $20.5 million.
The winning numbers were: 11, 28, 35, 37 and 69. The Mega Ball was 25 with a Megaplier of 2X.
No one across the country hit Tuesday’s $29 million jackpot.
A second-prize ticket matching five numbers, but not the Mega Ball, was sold in Midland, Pennsylvania — in the Pittsburgh area.
The Megaplier option, which costs an extra $1, boosted the prize to $2 million.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 11, 12, 21, 29 and 49. The Mega Ball was 3 with a Megaplier of 2X.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million. The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize of at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.
Mega Millions drawings are held each Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Friday’s drawing will be the final one where tickets cost $2.
The cost of a ticket climbs to $5 starting with Tuesday’s drawing. The astronomical odds of winning the jackpot improve slightly and prize amounts increase.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $47 million, with a cash option of $22.7 million.
