The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $47 million, with a cash option of $22.7 million.
The winning numbers were: 4, 23, 30, 46, 62. Powerball: 2. Power Play 4X.
No one across the country hit Wednesday’s $31 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.
In New Jersey, no one won more than $200 with a single ticket.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 5, 17, 41, 64 and 69. The Powerball drawn was 1, with a Power Play of 2X.
In addition, no one won the secondary, $10 million Double Play jackpot on Wednesday. Those winning numbers were: 7, 18, 23, 31 and 44. The Double Play number drawn was 24.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are more than 292 million to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers but not the Powerball and win a second-prize of at least $1 million. The odds of winning a third prize of at least $50,000 are 913,129 to 1.
Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $54 million with a cash option of $25.7 million.
