ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Rockford will be on the track at one of NASCAR’s most anticipated races.

Josh Bilicki, a NASCAR stock car driver from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, will have Rockford-based companies’ logos and Rockford icons all over his Chevrolet Camaro (#91) at the NASCAR Xfinity Series North Carolina Education Lottery 250 at Rockingham Speedway.

The Camaro will have the Rockford-based insurance agency Insurance King logo upfront and center on the hood as its owner, Dan Block, is one of Bilicki’s main sponsors. Block said he wanted to use the upcoming race as an opportunity to promote his hometown of Rockford.

Another logo you’ll be able to see from every angle is the GoRockford logo. Block asked GoRockford to join the partnership. John Groh, GoRockford’s president and CEO, says, “We knew it would be a chance to drive awareness of Rockford on a national level.”

Also featured on the vehicle are the Rockmen Guardians, a Rockford Peaches logo, the Symbol sculpture, a sock monkey and two other area companies: ROCK’N Vodka and Haas Towing.

The race is at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 19 at the Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, North Carolina.

You can watch the race for free on 19.1 WSLN The CW. If you have any technical or programming questions, please email engineeringquestions@wifr.com.
