The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $131 million, with a cash option of $60.1 million.
“The winning numbers were: 7, 25, 37, 39, 63. Powerball: 1. Power Play 3x.”
No one across the country hit Wednesday’s $114 million jackpot. A second-prize, $1 million ticket was sold in Minnesota. It matched five numbers but not the Powerball.
In New Jersey, two $50,000 tickets were purchased for Wednesday’s drawing.
One ticket was sold at Pitstop Food Store on Englishtown Road in Old Bridge, Middlesex County, while the other was bought online using the Jackpocket app.
Each third-prize ticket matched four numbers plus the Powerball.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 20, 24, 42, 43 and 49. The Powerball drawn was 19, with a Power Play of 3X.
In addition, no one won the secondary $10 million Double Play drawing, which offers players a chance to win additional prizes
Those winning numbers were: 7, 36, 40, 47 and 59. The Double Play number was 9.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are more than 292 million to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers but not the Powerball and win a second-prize of at least $1 million.
The odds of winning a third prize of at least $50,000 are 913,129 to 1.
Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $50 million with a cash option of $22.4 million.
