The clock is ticking for a lottery winner to claim a £1 million fortune.

A last-ditch appeal has been issued to find the owner of the winning ticket from the Lotto draw of February 28 – bought in Wigan.

The prize was won on the Lotto Millionaire Raffle game, which players are automatically entered into when they buy a Lotto ticket. Unique raffle codes are printed on every ticket. The winning code was PLUM 1592 1867.

Lottery bosses issued an appeal for players to check behind the backs of their sofas for the ticket in March, but no one has come forward.

Now the lucky ticket-holder only has until next Monday, August 27, to make their claim.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.

“This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.”

If unclaimed, the sum will go to good causes.
