A GAMBLER ended up scooping more than $400,000 on a lotto game he didn’t even know he had entered.

The winner, of Michigan, was stunned that his big win was real.

Unbeknown to him, he had been racking up entries for the Big Cash second-chance lotto draw, per The Michigan Lottery.

He was wide-eyed when he spotted an email from the organization that said he had won $416,322.

“I play games online a lot, but I had no idea I was earning entries into a second chance giveaway when playing certain games,” he said.

He actually thought the email was a scam as he hadn’t opted in to play another game.

The lucky gambler called lottery bosses to make sure he wasn’t being duped.

“When I called the Michigan Lottery, I realized I’d been earning entries without even knowing it,” he said.

The winner was chosen at random and he revealed he would use some of his newfound wealth to help his family.

He said he would set aside the rest of the money.

Some lottery organizations have promotions where players can enter into second chance draws.

The Big Cash second chance draw in Michigan takes place every month.

For every 50 cents that gamblers bet on certain games, they will earn one entry.

The more times they play means they have more entries in the monthly draw.

Some players have ended up scooping prizes north of $500,000, per the Michigan Lottery.

One man won more than $620,000 in May 2023.

He revealed he enjoyed playing second chance lotto games and always hoped that he could win a prize.

He said he spotted a call on his phone but wasn’t sure of the number.

The player found out the lottery was trying to call but didn’t suspect anything.

He said he was in awe when he called the number and found out he had come up trumps.
